Venus flytraps are sold widely in the U.S. in grocery stores, for example, as a novelty item, because they eat insects. Our Venus Flytrap is grown in licensed greenhouses in North Carolina, the plant’s natural habitat.

[Reply from Susan: Good question, Bonnie – and one we get from confused customers every day. The fact is, NutraMedix has changed labels several times over the years. At the moment, there are TWO two labels on Samento, although the product behind the labels is identical.

Here’s how you can be assured of that: Under “supplement facts”, read down until you find the Latin (botanical) name for the product and you will see Uncaria tomentosa Pentacyclic Chemotype, TOA-Free.

That’s the be-all, end-all identifier you are looking for. Now, as far as other TOA-Free Cat’s Claw products go, we, in addition to selling Samento, have developed our own TOA-Free product – POA-Gold 239 – for people who need it.

The process by which we produce POA-Gold 239 is proprietary, but suffice it to say every bottle is cured for 28 days in a quartz-generated energy field, a process that is time-consuming and expensive, but, we are convinced, worth it.
